Featuring ample amount of deck space, you will find yourself free to move around the vessel for casting without drama.
Fitted with the latest state-of-the-art technology such as a 36v Minnkota, Lithium batteries, JL Audio surround sound, Lowrance pro 16" sounders and Active Target 2, this vessel is an absolute weapon on the water. Powered by a 250hp SeaPro Mercury outboard, you can be confident in minimising travel time and maximising fishing time. Turning the key and hearing it start the first time, every time, getting you to and from your destination safely. Also fitted is a permanent T-top, giving shade in the centre of the vessel whilst still maintaining full 360-degree access around the boat.
This feature is incredibly important, especially on those hot sunny days when you need a rest out of the sun.
YES, WE HAVE ACTIVE TARGET 2! For most serious estuary fishos, Lowrance Active Target 2 now plays a crucial role in the success stories you see and hear today. There really is something special about being able to see the Barra in real-time and, in some cases, feeding your lure straight to their mouth. Utilising this amazing technology can result in serious trophy fish and fishing sessions of a lifetime. Here at Territory Barra Sportfishing, if you are interested in learning, we will personally teach you to read, interpret and understand how to utilise Active Target 2 at a professional level to assist you in hooking that trophy fish.
The 'Runoff'
(Feb-May)
The 'Runoff' is undeniably the best time to chase BIG Barramundi. The Runoff season in the NT (Feb-May) brings about a landscape transformation with monsoonal rains, ensuring the revitalisation of ecosystems and filling of floodplains. As 'Feeder creeks' begin to flow, Barramundi thrive and hunt on bait at the mouths of these creeks, including main river mouths. Whether you are chasing quantity, quality or both, the Runoff has it all.
What to Expect
Presented with Tannin flood water, flowing rivers and creeks, Anglers can expect increased chances of hooking into larger Barramundi during this period. If you're chasing that Magic Meter+ Barra, this is the time to do it!
In the dry season, Barramundi fishing is another thrilling pursuit; as water levels drop and flood water from the Runoff subsides, Barramundi concentrates in other areas, such as submerged rock bars and snags. Along with great fishing comes stunning wildlife scenery, such as waterfowl, egrets, kingfishers, white-breasted sea eagles, Brahminy kites, monitor lizards and, of course, the iconic predator, the saltwater crocodile!
What to Expect
Fresh mornings, clear blue skies and comfortable temperatures, you will find yourself on a billabong or up a river full of Barramundi. Casting soft plastics at snags and rock bars whilst keeping an eye on saltwater crocodiles sunning their selves on a muddy bank.
Due to the better temperatures, this is the best time for those who want to catch a Barra, see some extraordinary parts of the NT and be comfortable whilst doing it. The best way to spend a beautiful dry season day in the NT.
The Build-up is arguably the best time to fish for Barramundi in the NT. The build-up is from September to December, which is the period just prior to the 'wet season'. Adult Barramundi enter the main river systems and coastal creeks to breed and feed, as water temperatures and humidity rise, these Barramundi become more active, providing anglers with prime opportunities in hooking larger fish along river systems and coastal estuaries.
What to Expect
A rise in humidity, ambient air and water temperature, you can bet you'll be warm and fired up just like the Barra! You can expect a hard hit on your lure with a true fight in your hands and an increased chance of hooking a larger Barra. Typical daytime temperatures are around 35 degrees Celsius. Expect ice cold drinks and refreshing snacks to be provided!
